My Site Build It! Traffic Success
My Site Build It! site was simply an experiment to see how the product works and I wanted to compare it to standard web hosts. I never imagined I would have this kind of success.
It was also an investment in my affiliate business. As an affiliate marketer, it's not a good practice to endorse products you don't own, so in 2005 I decided to buy with the intention of using my own Site Build It! site as a case study for this site.
It turned out to be a good investment. Watch the video below for my traffic surprise.
Let's Keep it Real
Can you create a site today and barely update it for two years and get the kind of results I am getting from my Site Build It! site?
It is not very likely.
In fact, that site does not get as much traffic today primarily because I no longer update it. Google is very, very big on FRESH content now. The days of just throwing up a ton of content and waiting for loads of traffic to roll in from Google are over.
This site was primarily an experiment so I could try out SBI! and it shows what is possible with hard work. Whether you use SBI! or not, you have to understand that it takes a lot of continual work to build and keep traffic.
As I said in the video, the Internet has changed drastically since I started this website. Competition is thicker and the search engines have gotten more strict with regards to rankings, etc.
I do check in from time to time to ensure that SiteSell has kept their marketing information up-to-date, and I'm pleased to say they have -- which is why I continue to promote them and keep my site.
Plus, my site still makes nice money with AdSense and Clickbank so that's pretty cool considering I rarely update it.
So you can still do very well today if you work hard to build a useful site that targets a specific audience. And if you want the guidance, hand-holding and value having all the tools in one place,
