How to Forward a Domain Name to Any Site

You can register domains with multiple domain extensions (.com. .net, .org, etc.) and then forward them back to your main site.

Or maybe you already have an existing site and you just want to buy a domain name to point to it.

Why Forward a Domain?

So let's say you choose to host your site on the .com version of your domain, but you want the .net and other extensions to automatically forward to the .com version when someone types them in a browser.

A lot of people do this to keep people from capitalizing on their established brand and cause confusion with the domain name.

How Do I Forward My Domain?

It's simple. To put domain forwarding into effect for your site you need to do 2 things:

1) Register a domain name of your choice. This is the address you will type in your browser and it will forward to your existing site.

You also need to register every extension you want to forward (.net, .org, etc.)

2) After you register your domain, simply login to the control panel to setup the forwarding.  It's simple and takes a few seconds.

Domain forwarding used to cost $16.99 per year, but now WebsitePalace.com offers it for free as long as you register your domain name(s) there.

If your name is registered elsewhere, you can also transfer your domain here and receive the free service.

Keep in mind, you'll still update and maintain your web site at your existing web hosting company.  This will not, in any way, change how you create and publish your web pages for your site, nor will you have to change web hosting companies.

The only thing you need to do is select and reserve any available domain name you'd like and point the domain to the site you'd like.

Return to the main domain registration page.
