Macromedia Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver is a great tool for Webmasters of all experience levels. I used to use Microsoft FrontPage, but since Microsoft replaced it with the unpopular Web Expressions, I decided to try Dreamweaver instead.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to use. I dabbled in Dreamweaver years before, but never used the software to create an entire site.

It allows me to save, manage and publish my pages with ease. Some of my favorite features include...

• Keeps HTML code clean (unlike FrontPage)

This is another user-friendly HTML editor, and because it's so easy to use, it's becoming the software of choice for many Webmasters.

Their latest version has gotten much better than previous editions. You can now edit your site in Preview/Design mode instead of having to write inside the code (great for beginners).

They also have a nice selection of professional templates, so if you don't want to spend the time designing or learning how to design then this software is a great option. Simply pick the design you want and edit the text accordingly.
